Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern invites young women to join Innovative Young Minds

IYM 2021
The Innovative Young Minds (IYM) programme is designed to encourage young women to explore science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and high-tech manufacturing – fields we call the STEMM sector. Our engaging and interactive online and residential programmes showcase the wide range of study, research and career opportunities available in STEMM.
Participants will be exposed to eye-opening and inspiring science and technology content. They will also make lasting friendships with like-minded young women who share a passion for STEMM!
Our programmes are only open to young women because females are underrepresented in the STEMM sector and we want to change that. Our goal is to inspire a new generation of female innovators and industry leaders.

2021 Programmes
We are offering two exciting programme options for young women in years 11 and 12 in 2021:
IYM Online 2021: Five half-day sessions delivered entirely online — limited to 100 places. Find our more here.
IYM Residential 2021: A six-day residential programme based in Lower Hutt for students from the Greater Wellington Region — limited to 40 places. Find out more here.

Sponsors
IYM would not be possible without the wonderful support of our generous sponsors and site hosts. This sponsorship comes from many Rotary Clubs across New Zealand and businesses and organisations who believe in diversity and supporting our young people to be the best they can be – our future innovators and industry leaders. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please get in touch.
